Wall st. Journal review of ‘Ted K’

Sharlto Copley plays Ted Kaczynski in Tony Stone’s penetrating film about the Unabomber.

“An enthralling, even visionary drama that regards its subject with empathy and horror. There’s reason to suspect that the film may be something special from its opening sequence. (Nathan Corbin was director of photography, which is first-rate throughout. ) Those suspicions are confirmed as soon as Mr. Copley comes on screen. Mr. Stone uses his skills as a documentarian to re-create Kaczynski’s physical life in his tiny cabin in the pristine woods, where he types out his angry missives on a little Corona portable. The director’s skills include using real-life residents of the area as part of his cast; they contribute strongly to a sense of events discovered rather than staged.”
